The girls hit the highway for Chicago this weekend and we had a blast! Sadly, Aunt Cheryl couldn't join us as she was nursing a hurt back. We took two cars (leaving from two different cities) and somehow managed to arrive within minutes of each other. We stayed up way too late each night, talking, laughing, eating, quoting Ferris, taking pictures, watching Brooklyn crawl and Kiera do gymnastics and wedding planning. Saturday we headed into the city for shopping, lunch and photo ops at the Bean in Millennium Park. We drove an hour outside of the city to go to the Kate Spade outlet then headed home for some Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Sunday we headed to the bridal shop to see Em's dress. To say she looked beautiful is an understatement. The time went by too quickly, but we sure enjoyed every second!
So happy to be out of the car!
Hazel was so excited to see everyone. She loved Brooke and kept
trying to lick her fingers!
Looking stylish in her sunnies!
Everyone doing the "I love you!" sign in sign language
Kiera does the bridge at the Bean!
Cute cousins!
Brooklyn isn't walking yet, but she's got standing and
cuteness down pat!
Group shot! There are so many people at the Bean statue
that it's easy to have a group pic taken.
Looking at the ice skating rink from above...
The weather gods were shining down on us on Saturday!
The weather as perfect, almost 60 and sunny.
We walked the bridge over the street to the art museum.
We didn't go to the museum, but we made some cute art (photos)
of our own!
On our first trip to the city, almost 7 years ago, we took a pic
with this cow in front of the library. I'll have to find our first cow pic
and post them together!
Serving up smiles for lunch!
Taking a break at Em's apartment
We got to see Em's wedding dress!!
Bride and Mother of the Bride
Mimosa cheers to Em and Paul!
A sneak peek!
Nicole found her wedding dress, that she wore (in June) at the
bridal shop!

Whew...it was a whirlwind weekend! Emily said "YES" to the dress, we shopped till we dropped and ate like queens! Kiera and Brooklyn = Becky & Michelle of 30 (!) years ago...some things never change! We missed you Cheryl!
