First Softball Game

This is Kiera's first year playing coach pitch softball. So far, so good! She likes softball for two reasons...Four of her closest friends are on the team and because Tyler played baseball. She even traded her shirt to get #11 like Tyler. Her team sponsor is Romeo's Pizza.

Farm Garden

All the fam working hard to put in a garden at the farm! 

Golden Shiner Minnows

We ordered 250,000 Golden Shiner Minnows for the pond. They are in the small pond

until they grow larger. Then they will be transferred over to the main pond to be served 

up as dinner for the "good" fish in hopes to make them bigger. This was Ty's job and not 

only did he do it well, he took great pics to document it!

Nicole's Shower

We celebrated Nicole and David this weekend at Nicole's Shower. Kiera ditched me and 

sat herself down at Nicole's table so she could be in on all the action. She loves her some 

Mormile Girls! Continuing the tradition, we got Nicole a Kitchen Aid mixer, just like we 

got for Michelle...only this time it was orange (David's favorite color). Kiera enjoyed

herself being with her cousins and also because there was extra room in the back of the

"ballroom" for cartwheels and round offs. We can't wait for the wedding! 

Special Olympics

I am the Special Olympics coach at my school. We had a beautiful day

for our track and field event.All of the athletes ran a 100 meter dash and 

competed in the softball toss.  I'm going to miss these cuties over the summer;

they are a great group of kids.

Art Show and Ice Cream Social

Last week, Kiera's school had their annual Ice Cream Social and Art Show. We 

enjoyed Malley's ice cream while strolling around the school looking at the student's

artwork. We made a pit stop in the library to see Kiera's latest favorite books...

the Magic Tree House series. 

Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the Kette Casa! We celebrated with

a homemade nachos and Mexican drinks...Margaritas for Dave

and me and Jarrito's Tangerine Soda for Kiera. Ole! 

Pine is Fine!

Last weekend, the cabin got pine walls. Here's a picture of Joe. Kiera is kind of smitten with him. Actually, she thinks of him as a big brother (go figure) and he treats her like a little sister. The pine looks great! There's still a small section to go, but it's shaping up. The wood beam is my favorite part.

the finished product will look like.
