Snow Ice Cream

We made our first batch of snow ice cream using Paula Deen's recipe. It was tasty but had a different consistency. Papa and Kiera gathered the snow then we all enjoyed it!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was laid back and lazy. Kiera woke up at 8 o'clock to see if Santa had visited; indeed he had! Again this year, she opened her presents sloooowly. She would open something then play with it, open and play, etc. We were blessed to have Ty and Ry with us too!

New shades!

Gift card to his fave restaurant...Cheesecake Factory
Brooke got some new toys too!

Scratching our Lotto tickets...everyone was a winner!
Rocking on her new guitar from Ty
After a long day opening presents and visiting our families, Kiera put her jammies back on. This is one one the only pics I took on Christmas Day

First Snowman of the Season

Kiera and Dave made our first snowman of the season. We didn't have any carrots, so they used markers to draw on the face. I'm going to look for a "snowman kit" at the after Christmas sales so we'll always be prepared! (ps, If any of you see a snowman kit, please buy it and I'll pay you back!)

Christmas Eve

We went to Mimi and Papa's house for our traditional Christmas Eve fondue night. As usual, it was fantastic. We did have one unusual event occur...the door bell rang and two guests appeared. Don let them in and took their coats and then he led them down to the basement. We looked at them, and they looked at us and discovered they were are the wrong house! Kiera got two special gifts...an accordion that belonged to Auntie Em and a cradle and high chair that both Emily and I played with. We are so lucky that Mimi saved them and they are in great shape. We had a lot of fun playing Catch Phrase and doing "dog photo sessions" which deserve a post of their own!

 Opening gifts
 Hazel the Elf
 Ryan made Pina Coladas
Fondue with the Kettes, Bockraths and Groths
Kiera and Hazel and their tongues!
 Baleigh gave a flute concert
