Oh Christmas Tree!

We put up our Christmas tree the morning after Thanksgiving with the help of three lovely elves, Kiera, Ty and Kara (Ty's cousin). We are waiting to put ornaments on because Grandma Jean is giving us some vintage silver bulbs.  Dave made a yummy breakfast of sausage and egg mcmuffins. After breakfast, the kids headed back to college. 

Thanksgiving

 We started our Thanksgiving Break one day early, thanks to a stomach bug. Kiera got sick at school on Monday and stayed home Tuesday. She rebounded quickly and we had a great time with our family....Emily and Ty were home from college, we celebrated Nick's 18th birthday and our 7th wedding anniversary and listened to a guitar duet. We are beyond thankful for our family!

All of the family went to the Aurora High football game to cheer Nick and the Greenmen on to victory!

 Sunday morning we woke up to see Nick on the front page of the 

sports section of the Plain Dealer!

Pillow Fight

As I mentioned before, Kiera had the.best.time.ever on our trip to Michigan. After a long afternoon of shopping, we came back to Michelle's place, got on our pajamas and started our sleepover. Kiera wanted to have a pillow fight and her cousins and aunt happily obliged! 

Our Weekend in Michigan

We had a fabulous visit to Michigan to see Michelle! We started our fun in Frankenmuth, a German settlement turned Christmas and shopping town. We had a finger licking chicken family style lunch and Zehnder's followed by shopping at Bronner's Christmas Store, the biggest Christmas store in the world. Kiera had the time of her life!! She ditched Mimi and me as soon as she saw Michelle, Nicole, Aunt Cheryl and Aunt Carrie. She even rode in their car. In fact, Kiera was calling herself "Princess Bloom" and "Kiera B." last night when she was playing dress up. I owe all of them babysitting money, ha! 

Michelle and Nick's new place is adorable and Michelle is a great hostess.

Face Paint

 What do you do when your power is out for the third day and you see your Halloween make up just sitting there, unused because Trick or Treat was rescheduled? Why you paint your face and your brother's face, of course!

 As if face paint wasn't enough...Ryan did Kiera's hair with 

"hair glue" to make a cone shaped hair do,

 although the cone has fallen in this pic!

 As if face paint and hair glue weren't enough...Kiera and Ryan put 

purple doggie hair gel in Brooke's fur!
