Fahrenheit.

We were late in celebrating Brooke's 4th Birthday, 

(her birthday is December 27th) but it's never too late

to celebrate! We walked to Dairy Queen and all got 

ice cream. 

Kiera and I went with the Girl Scouts to go see Annie

at Play House Square.

Our girl was picked to be Citizen of the Month! She got a certificate,

a pin and got to eat lunch with the principal. So proud! 

Clam Bake

We had our second annual "Friday Grandpa Day Clam Bake" on the day before Halloween. To dress up the table, I borrowed some beakers from the science class at school. Kiera still doesn't like clams, but she loves melted butter!

Feliz Cumpleaños Valerie! The birthday girl chose Mexican for her birthday dinner and we did it up right! Dinner on the Si Senor's patio, a quick trip to Crocker Park, followed by cupcakes at the Kette Casa.  We enjoy having you around, Val...you fit right in!

last day of the sale at Aveda

Finally, we headed home for dessert...

Happy 7th Birthday, Kiera! Part 2

Kiera's next birthday celebration was at Mimi and Papa's house for our traditional Irish dinner of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and Irish soup. It was delicious, and my mouth is watering as I write this! Kiera insisted at sitting at the kiddie table all by herself in the living room; so much for the birthday girl gracing us with her presence at dinner. She got a new Ty Beanie Boo (big surprise!) and the rings/bar for her new swing set (pics in next post). We sang Happy Birthday over cupcakes and toasted with Shamrock Floats (Sprite and lime sherbet). 

Then, she wanted to show off her "beautiful dress" that she picked out at the 

store on her own. She thinks it's the prettiest thing ever because it has 

her favorite colors and it's a halter top. Who am I to deny the birthday

girl the feeling of loving her self and her outfit? (even though I don't like the 

dress at all!)
