Last night was the end of the year open house at Kiera's school. She had the most people in attendance...Dave, me, Tyler, Mimi and Papa! She was beaming...She was so happy to show off her school and her lessons. The evening ended with dinner and dessert on the patio.

Friends in the Pool
Dave found a toad in the yard last night and we put him in the bug jar for Kiera to see in the morning. She was so excited, she even took him to school for show and tell. When grandpa picked her up early from school today, they made their usual stops to get ice cream and to the pet store. Only this time, Kiera insisted on bringing toad in with them! When they got home Toad took a quick swim in the pool and when toad got out, the girls got in! It's going to be a "toad-ally" awesome three day weekend around here!

Michelle's Wedding Shower
We had a great time at Michelle's Wedding Shower this weekend. The theme of the shower was "Bloom" which will be Michelle's new last name! African Violets were the center pieces and we each got to take one home. Both of ours are in Kiera's new pink room. Michelle got a lot of goodies for her new house; we got her the Kitchen Aid mixer and a laundry basket filled with cleaning supplies. We can't wait for the wedding!

Pool Days
We originally told Kiera we'd blow up the pool when school was out, but with the eighty plus degrees weather we'd been having, how could we not do it sooner? The water was a little chilly the first day, even with the hot water we added; the girls didn't' really go under. But last night, Kiera was under, over, sliding, splashing and frolicking in the pool for about an hour. She loves her pool! Thanks, Mimi and Papa!
