Ice Cream Social at the Library

Our library had an Ice Cream social tonight complete with Mitchell's Ice Cream! We took Caiti and Maddy with us because Roz had to work. The girls were so excited! The ice cream was delicious; Kiera had chocolate with sprinkles and I had raspberry sorbet.

Girls in the Pool

I appeased Kiera and went in her pool with her! The pool has been her favorite toy all summer. She is in it everyday; even if the temperature is too cold to actually swim, she at least puts her feet in. We have had  every pool toy known to man in our little pool...slide, kick board, noodles, goggles, floaties, raft, water balls, Barbies and mermaids, and even a pet frog! 

The other day, we were practicing "The State Song" and Kiera said to me, "One minute I know it, and two minutes I don't know it." Love her version of expression!

Summer List

We finally finished our summer list! I got the idea from this blog and loved it because Kiera could be a part of making the list too.We didn't list our "typical" summer activities like the pool, library, nature center, etc, and we have three blank spots on the bottom...any great ideas?

Shaving Cream

We can cross one activity off our our "Summer List"....Shaving Cream. We got two cans of shaving cream from the dollar store and let the girls have at it! First they practiced their letters and names, but it didn't take too long before they put it all over their bodies! After their fun, they both got hosed off and went into the pool.

K and C

It starts with Kiera standing at the fence yelling "Caaaaitiiiii" and a minute or so later, Caiti comes back to the fence to talk to Kiera. Then K asks if C can come over or visa versa. They carefully climb the fence (thanks to Dave for covering the top with pipe insulation) and play, play, play! Until one of them whines that something wasn't fair or someone had it first. They are both the babies in the family and used to getting their way, so it can be trying at times...then they surprise you other times and play perfectly together!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated our favorite guys yesterday! 

A wrapping idea I saw on interest

Dave got to sleep in, 

 and open his cards and gifts from Kiera.

Another Pinterest idea...a fill-in-the-blank worksheet your child 

answers about their daddy. We're going to do it each year

 (if we remember, that is!)

Anxiously awaiting "breakfast" in bed...

 Before we headed to Grandpa's...Tyler came over and we had lunch together 

and then Gavin called on the phone. (no pictures though)

We checked out Grandpa's garden, and were totally jealous of how big 

his plants are, especially since we shared our plants grown from seeds with him!

 After Grandpa's, we went to Mimi and Papa's for a delicious perch dinner. 

Ryan came to dinner too. 

We didn't get to see Grandpa Kette (because he had plans) but 

Dave did talk to him on the phone. Happy Father's Day! We love you!
