50's Father Daughter Dance

Kiera and Dave attended their second Father Daughter Dance of the year! The first one was for St. Raphael School and this time around it was for Girl Scouts. This one was a 50's theme. We ordered a poodle skirt from Amazon and borrowed a leather jacket from a friend for Dave. It'd say they look the part! Kiera's highlight of the evening was when the fathers and daughters made a line/pathway and couples took turns dancing through the walkway...They did the "death drop" (one of Dave's famous moves from his disco days) and everyone oohed and ahhed!

Easter 2016

We started our Easter celebration on Saturday because Em and Paul were in town. No celebration is complete without a doggie photo shoot and Hazel and Brooke did not disappoint! On Easter Sunday, we went to Amy's house since this may be their last holiday in their current house as they are moving. The weather was so beautiful that we spent most of the day outside.

Cousins!

Easter Morning! Kiera's basket was nestled in the guest
room pillows. Also note her pajamas...her favorite jimmies
are Dave's t-shirts!

The best Easter gift of all...a beautiful, 70 degree day!

What happened to Kiera's Easter dress?

Lots of love for Brooke when we got home!

Eight is Great!

Kiera started off her birthday with a donut and purple milk.
After school, she changed into some jazzy clothes and we opened
cards she got in the mail and her present from us.

We tricked Kiera and put her iPod in a big box so she wouldn't
know what it was...

So excited!

Kiera's birthday dinner of choice...potstickers!
Our traditional birthday cupcakes! Kiera picked salted caramel
this year.

St. Patrick's Day dinner...More birthday
festivities, but only one picture!
Kiera's Friday birthday celebration with Grandpa and Great Gram

Off to Mimi and Papa's on Saturday for
more birthday fun! Easter Egg hunt...with money!

Gum balls!
The following Saturday we headed back to Meem's
to celebrate with Emily!
Kiera was so proud of this "Super Aunt" magnet she found
at the thrift store for Em.

Such cute wrapping!

Kiera finally "gets" jokes and puns now!
