You've got mail

Kiera got mail today from The Mormiles. It was an Easter card with stickers inside. Kiera was so excited! Any time she gets stickers, she puts them right on her face!

Kiera says, "nank you" for the mail Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Dan, Michelle, Nicole and Christina!

They call this a smile?

Today the was a special mass for the St. Ignatius Baseball Teams. Only the guys went because as you good Catholics know, mass is looong and 2 year old's abilities to sit still and be quiet are NOT! I wanted a pic before they left, and this is the best smile they could muster......but I love 'em anyway!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

My mom and Don came over for dinner. We had scalloped potatoes and ham. Then we had a good laugh...

We celebrated our cousin Karson's second birthday this weekend. He is 3 days older than Kiera. We had a great time at his party! He had the cutest animal cake (too bad my picture of it didn't turn out!).

Tyler made the varsity baseball team! We weren't certain that he'd make the team because of his injured shoulder. He is going to physical therapy once a week and doing a stretching routine at home. He was also happy because they got uniforms (the shirt he has on is a practice shirt) and he got HIS number...#11

As you can see, he is THRILLED to be having this pic taken.

Congrats on making the team, Ty! We can't wait to put on our Wildcat gear and cheer you on at your baseball games! Go #11! Go Wildcats!

Birthday Cupcake Tradition - Year 2

As you all know, I'm not a party person, but I still like to celebrate. Last year, for Kiera's first birthday, I got gourmet cupcakes from A Cookie and a Cupcake (click the words to see their website!). Here is one year old Kiera enjoying her cupcakes on her first birthday...

A visit from Ryan

We had many reasons to celebrate yesterday!

1. Ryan came to visit (his friend Mike came along too)
2. Kiera's birthday
3. It was Friday
4. A 65 degree day

We met for dinner at Nuevo Alcapulco. Yum!
Some highlights from dinner...

Ryan held Kiera on his lap for most of the evening so I was able to...

...eat fried ice cream (for dinner!)

Tyler ordered the "Mega Burrito" and couldn't finish it!

Kiera grew tired of Ryan's lap, so she switched to Dave's. She was drinking water out of a cup with no lid. Tyler "saved" the cup from sliding off the table once...but the second time, Dave wasn't as lucky!

After dinner, we came home to open presents. Ryan is the ultimate gift buyer. He bought Kiera more Leap Frog Tag books to add to her collection. In true Ryan fashion, he made us all crack up with a book called David Stinks! But the hit of the night was the big, pink box of filled with dress up clothes! The guys had a fun time making inappropriate jokes about the clothes. Kiera LOVES her new dress up clothes..and her brother Ryan!

Dave jokingly wanted to name Kiera "Patricia Eve" because she was born on the Eve of St. Patty's Day. Also, Papa called Kiera "Patty" for the first few months of her life for the same reason.
