New Planters

Kiera looked so cute in her bathing suit and skirt cover up that I had to take some pics before we headed to the pool. She's munching on a Twizzler...We bought a bag of them and she thinks they are great! She has been calling them "twisty sticks." I had her pose with our new concrete planters...love them! They are heavier than all get out; both Ty and Dave had to lift them. I do miss my big ferns being on the porch, but this adds such a pop of color!

Tribute to Aunt Bobbie

The fam met at the Aurora Cemetery to honor Aunt Bobbie. It was her birthday this month and she has been in Heaven for 10 years this year. We shared a few memories of her then toasted her with her signature drink...a rum and Coke with lime! Cheers, Aunt Bob! We love you and miss you forever!

We visited my teacher friend at her trailer at Bay Point on Lake Erie.
It was an "on-again-off-again" rainy day, but we had a great time!

Ryan's Belated Birthday Dinner

We finally had Ryan's birthday dinner last night! He requested meatloaf. We tried a new meatloaf recipe by the Pioneer Woman. It was delicious; it was wrapped in bacon and basted with a homemade sauce. His birthday cake was Red Velvet. It was a great evening!

First Day of Summer 2011

Happy First Day of Summer! We celebrated by doing what we do just about every other day...finding worms! Dave is busy installing the marble back splash in the kitchen, so Kiera and I might take a trip to the pool to really celebrate summer...and get out of Dave's way!

Go Tribe!

We celebrated Father's Day at the Indians game! It was Kiera's first game; we had to stop by the Team Shop and get her a jersey. Dave opted to wear his new Father's Day duds. Emily even donned Tribe gear; she had mom pull out the old "Lofton" jersey from the cedar chest. We ate too much, sweated too much, passed Kiera around too much and had too much fun! A rain delay sent us home early, but we watched the game two hours later on the tv. We won!

Pretty in Pink

On our way to a graduation party, number 5 of 105, or so it seems! It has been fun celebrating with all of Ty's friends. We've eaten some YUMMY food (pulled pork, Chipotle, Qudoba) and seen some cool ideas (chest freezer outside filled with popsicles).
