Bird House

Dave was working on a project that involved cutting a hole in a piece of wood. He gave Kiera the wood to color on and she was upset that the wood wasn't "square" so she could "build" too. Being the fabulous dad he is, Dave went out the next day and bought a bird house kit for Kiera. They assembled the kit this afternoon. Kiera enjoyed hammering and (over)gluing. Tomorrow they are going to paint it.

 We celebrated Gram's 94th birthday this week. Kiera made a 'Hape Brthday' sign with 94 hearts.

New Year's Eve

 We celebrated the end of 2012 with Mimi and Papa. We ate Vietnamese for dinner. Funny story about that...I ordered the food and put it under the name "Bueller" for pick up. But I made one little mistake; I forgot to mention it to Dave. So when he and Papa went to pick up the food, they couldn't find our food. However, I blame Dave and Papa...they know we always do that and they should have thought of it :) All throughout the night, Kiera popped balloons that were filled with activities to do such as play New Year's Eve Bingo, make sparkly play dough, eat a Ring Pop, and more. Kiera stayed awake until 10:30  and the rest of us celebrated the New Year with snacks, chatting and watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Mimi and Papa slept over. The fun continued on New Year's Day with Papa's delicious pork, sauerkraut, apples and special potatoes.
