Last week, we enjoyed dinner on the patio and then posed for a few pics.

3 1/2
A few of Kieraisms from the three and a half year old...
- She was drawing a sun and I asked her what the lines were called (rays). Kiera replied, "tentacles!"
- She calls our screen door "the fence" which is appropriate, because it has a screen keeper guard across it.
- She asked me out of the blue, "Who cuts Irene's hair?(Irene is the lady who cuts her hair!)
And look what happened to Kiera at school today...she got bit!

Feliz Cumpleanos, Dave!
We celebrated Dave's birthday Mexican style! He and I went out to dinner alone (we had two hours of uninterrupted conversation!) and rode in the convertible.
Then we came home to have cupcakes with Kiera.

First College Football Game
Last night, Rochester played at Case. How perfect that their first game was so close to home for us? We weren't for sure that Ty would even come to the game, as only 60 players make the travel squad, but he made it! However, he did not get any play time. Rochester won the game 17 to 7. It rained on and off all night so on and off went the rain coats and ponchos. The best part of the night was getting to see Ty after the game before he boarded the bus back to New York. We thought he looked bigger, and he did; he gained 10 pounds.
Ty is now #42

French Braids
I (kind of) taught myself to french braid
though you wouldn't know it
after seeing pictures of
this rag-a-muffin!
Next time, we'll take pics
before we play!

Hopscotch
We made our first hopscotch on the driveway. I thought I would have to explain it to Kiera...but she knew what it was! I asked her "who taught her that?" (famous Aunt Cheryl line!) and she said Thing one and Thing two do it in the Cat in the Hat (she calls all Dr. Suess books The Cat in the Hat). What a hoot! An even bigger hoot...Dave and I both did hopscotch!
