June This and That

We're not even halfway through the month of June, but we've already had a lot of good times!

Sand volleyball with some of her club teammates...

Kiera and some classmates are playing softball on the Westlake

Rec league. Here's Kiera (catcher) and Dave (helper coach)

Ty & Val came to cheer Kiera on at her softball game...

...grandpa too!

For Mother's Day, Kiera bought me a bunch of mini succulents

which I transplanted into our favorite tea tins to make a rainbow planter!

For the record, our two fave teas are the orange tin (Hot Cinnamon Sunset)

and the yellow tin (Yellow & Blue) which is a chamomile and lavender blend.

Got to spend the day with Leo and Lenny...

Here's Leo soaking up the sunshine!

They are cute (and lazy!) coworkers

Kiera tried CYO Track for the first time this year,

competing in the 400m, 200m, and discuss. Here are the members

of the 7th grade track team at the track banquet.

Girl Power!

Kiera and C on the paddle board on Lake Erie to watch the sunset

Another trip to the Lake, with G this time, but it was too choppy to go in

Summer Fun

Our favorite catcher!

Going out to dinner photo shoot!

A visit to the petting zoo in Berlin is one of Kiera's

favorite outings!

Our neighbor, Kate, got a new puppy! Meet

Sir Bennington of Canterbury, aka Benni

Spray painting new classroom decor...a simple reminder to "Be Kind!"

Our Favorite Shoregal

Kiera's softball coach is a graphic designer by day...isn't this photo great?

Game Face On!

The Shoregals have their game faces on!

For Kiera's birthday she got pink colored eye black. She brought it to

the game and shared it with her teammates. Not only did it help block

the sun glare, it made them look extra cute and color coordinated!

Shoregals Softball

Kiera is playing travel softball this year...She's an Avon Lake Shoregal!

Her favorite position to play is catcher and she's currently in a hitting rut.

She's got a powerful swing, but isn't making contact with the ball. Thankfully, she's not

letting that ruin her fun! She's signed up for a hitting lesson mid June,

so hopefully she'll get her bat going.  She has a new fondness for dill pickle sunflower seeds.

Dave is helping coach.

First Softball Game of the Summer

Kiera's playing softball again this year, but this year, she's

in the ponytail league, meaning the kids pitch and catch.

While it makes for long games (think lots of walks) the girls

are learning a lot. And guess who they are learning it from?

Coahes Dave, Ty and Kate! Many more pics to come, but

these were snapped at the first game. Go C&S Photography!

All Star Softball Game

Kiera was selected to be a part of the all star team! She had two great hits (one to short stop

and one near first base) and was part of a double play. Though her favorite part of the

game was the trophy and the candy bag!

Rally before the game!

So excited to be sitting in the dug out!

All lined up for The National Anthem

 Ready to score!

They racked up the runs, but lost by one! 24-25

 Lined up for their trophies

Three girls from each team were selected, then

put on an East or West All Star Team. Here are the

three girls from Team Mitchell's!
