Our favorite pup came for a visit this weekend. We went for 4 walks, had a play date with 2 neighborhood pups (Winnie and Daisy), had 1 photoshoot...which added up to a good weekend!

Secret Garden
We watched Sparkle this weekend so my parents could head to Chicago and take Emily back to school. Kiera insisted that we keep Sparkle on her leash (even though she doesn't really need one...she stays in the yard and listens well) so she could parade Sparkle all around the yard and throughout the house.

A Day Off
Thanks for coming to visit, Sparkle!

In honor of President's Day, we didn't have school today. I enjoyed sleeping in until 7:30 (which is when Kiera woke us up.) Kiera and I went to First Watch for breakfast with my friends from school. Kiera got an ENORMOUS pancake! She ate about 1/4th of the pancake. Also note in the picture that she has on her piggy pajama shirt. She has been throwing a fit to wear her pajama shirts all day long. She'll change pants, but she screams and throws a fit over the shirts. We (sort of) compromised and she wore a dress with her pj shirt on top. To top it off, she didn't want to wear her coat either! She wanted a blanket over her. How can a 23 month old be so demanding?

I'll spare you the photos, but Kiera has been going to the bathroom in the potty! She wears a diaper or pull up at nap and bed time, but during the day, she uses the potty! We are so excited! After she goes #2 on the potty, she gets one peanut M-n-M. She barely finishes going, and she says, "I get choc-o-lit!" Hey, whatever works!

Kiera and Sparky
Kiera is loving having Sparkle at our house...and no, we are not getting a dog anytime soon...we love Sparky, but we love her the most at Mimi and Papa's house! Kiera fed Sparkle. She started out hand feeding her, then it went to putting handfuls on the floor and Sparky eating from the floor. (Don't worry Mom, we measured the food first and yes,
she got her insulin!)
she got her insulin!)
