Dear Kiera,Your Grandpa Jerry really loved you and enjoyed your company. You and Mimi spent a lot of time with him at his house (Mommy would meet you there after work on the days Mimi was watching you). He called you "Ky-rah" because he couldn't pronounce your name right. He called you a young Shirley Temple. You two shared many suckers (and other candies) together. He gave you any treat you wanted. Any time we said, "We're going to Grandpa Jerry's house!" you always said "I'm going to have a sucker." You two played a lot together, especially with his green football. You played peek-a-boo behind his curtains and with the barn blocks that he had at his house just for you. He let you "play laundry" by gathering up a few odds and ends to wash and opening up the machine to let you play in the water. You seemed to sense when Grandpa was getting sicker. Instead of throwing the football at him, you went to his bed and gave his belly a gentle hug and kiss. When you're older, though you may not remember all the fun you two had together, know that you were/are loved very much by him and made his tough days a little better.
Love, Mama
