Last Soccer Game

Kiera's last soccer game was this weekend. Mimi and Papa came to cheer her on. We brought Brooke along too, but she was whiney. The dog wanted to run and chase the soccer ball with the kids. The kids received an award and we celebrated with lunch at Panera.

Great shot of her shorts on backwards!

Soccer - Game 4

Kiera had her fourth soccer game of the season this week. She still hasn't scored a goal. She sticks with the ball and does a great job of playing back on the field waiting for the ball and defending the goal. It was our turn to bring snack this week (watermelon, squeezable applesauce and Sport Aqua Pod bottled water) so we arrived at the field a little early. Kiera and Dave got to play around. Kiera was excited to have Tyler come to the game. We ended the evening with a trip to Malleys.

The girls were practicing their cheerleading moves here...

First Game of Soccer

The weather finally cooperated and Kiera got to play in her first soccer game of the season last Saturday. We missed her "real" first game because of horse camp. She didn't score a goal, but she did play hard and kept with the ball. This year she is on the red team named by the kids the "Red Apples."

Soccer Dog

Kiera's soccer practice was cancelled for tonight, but that
didn't stop Team Kette from practicing in the front yard!

Soccer Poses

I was sad that I had to miss Kiera's last game, but I left Dave with the camera and strict instructions to "take good pictures" of Kiera at the game. I think he did an AMAZING job...these posed pictures with her soccer ball and medal are precious!

Last Soccer Game

Kiera had her last soccer game this weekend. Papa and Dave cheered her on...I missed the game because all of the ladies in the family were at Put-in-Bay celebrating with Michelle for her Bachlorette Party! Kiera "flipped the on switch" and had her best game ever. She scored five goals! The coach put all of the girls in the first quarter...maybe the girl power helped her do so well! When she scored, all of the parents cheered and Kiera did her "embarassed-shoulder-shrug look" which made the parents clap even more.  All of the players got a medal for participating in soccer. Coach Matt waited until the end to give Kiera hers and said she was the most improved player. Papa and Dave took Kiera to Dairy Queen to celebrate. Kiera had a root beer float. A great weekend was had by all!

More Soccer

This weekend the weather was so perfect....eighty degrees and sunny! Kiera had another good game. No goal, but she got a lot of action. She played really hard and was all smiles on and off the field. It was our turn to bring snack, and the watermelon was a big hit on such a warm day. We finished out the afternoon with a cookout on the patio.
