Nick's Confirmation

Our cousin (and my Godson) Nick made his Confirmation last weekend and had a family party today to celebrate! I didn't even get a pic of him (just the one of all the cousins playing a game) Sorry, Nick! And to top it off, the pics I did take were totally random.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Happy Birthday, Dad! I hope it was a happy one!
We enjoyed a lovely evening and dinner (grilled swordfish, your fave!) on the patio with you. Too bad our camera is having a "lens error" so I couldn't capture the moment.

I am thankful for the time we spend (and have spent) together, and even more thankful that you get to spend so much time together with Kiera. I have always enjoyed our Father/Daughter fishing trips and I look forward to this summer's Father/Daughter/Granddaughter fishing trip!

***I have a pic of me and my dad fishing that will be added soon.
I have to find it, then scan it because it was taken before the digital camera!***
Check back later!

Smooshed Smile

A smooshed smile to celebrate the beginning of summer vacation!

Can you tell these pics were taken through the sliding glass door?
Ryan took them. He's a riot...and so is his little sister!

Our Backyard

Here are a few pictures of our backyard. After having a french drain dug to drain the water from our backyard properly, our flowers and plants are happy!

Tomato by the driveway
(this one always grows the best!)
Rose bush on the chimney
(Thanks for the trellis, mom!)

Minus the garbage can lid, this is a cute pic
of a new wreath!
Dave's handmade bird feeder...the purple paint
coordinates with our house (Hey Dave, are you going
put siding on here too, when we do the house? HA!)
Enormous PrimrosesThe window box on the garage window

A new walkway to the fence by Ros' house so Kiera
doesn't trample the hastas when she says hello to the
neighbors! (Thanks for the lime stone, mom!)
Our neighbors, Kate and Ros, have been sharing their plants with us when they separate them. As they start to take hold in our yard, I'll post pics of them. We got quite a few goodies...baby's breath, sweet pea vine, primrose, vinca vine, and some other plant I can't remember the name of right now. Though it's the size of a postage stamp, we enjoy every bit of our yard! Well, maybe all but the canoe behind the garage, but that's a post for another day!

Memorial Day Recap

Hip, hip, hooray...our internet is working again! In fact, it's even faster since Dave cleaned up the hard drive (or whatever it's called). Here is a recap of our Memorial Day. We went to the Bay Village parade, then spent the day working in our yard. In addition to weeding, we moved every other hosta from our drive way to the side of our house.

Thank you to all of our veterans!
The Bay Band played the battle hymns of all
the branches of the armed services. Just as they
passed us, they played The Marines song. I
think Uncle Jerry was saying hello to us from heaven!

Back on the Blog Wagon

It's been a week since my last post...the internet hasn't been working on our personal computer. The internet has worked all along on the business computer, so we're not totally out of the cyber loop, but we try to keep the personal and business files separate...hence the delay in blogging. The internet still isn't 100%, so I just have a little bit to share. Here is one snippet from the past week...Kiera in her pool!

Two Kiera-isms:

Mama: Kiera, what jammies do you want to wear?
Kiera: I wanna wear naked!

Kiera calls her bug jar a "bar jug!"
It's hilarious. So far, her bar jug has held spiders, a beetle
(that she took with us to a birthday party!) and currently, a toad.
