Dying Easter Eggs

Here is Kiera's description of how to dye eggs..."You put food coloring in and little dots. Then we put eggs in it. And then we took them out. Then we put them in a bin. In rainbow, purple by the purple, blue by the blue. I like purple best."

Pretty in Pink

Our girl is pretty in pink!

We were on our way to a funeral before we took these pictures. Before we went, we had a talk with Kiera about death and what to expect at the funeral home. Kiera listened, then described it like so, "The person is in a cradle. Then the angel fairies take them up to Heaven with God and Sparkle and Grandpa Jerry." Our girl is pretty in pink on the outside, and beautiful on the inside too!

Hula Hooping

What better way to spend our last morning of Spring Break?
She is slowly starting to get the hang of hula hooping.

Hokey Pokey Musical Skirt

Why didn't I invent this? It's adorable! Our friends, The Roof Family, got Kiera this skirt for her birthday. It has as small pocket inside the skirt which holds a little music box that plays "The Hokey Pokey." Kiera has had fun twirling around in it and learning how to do the Hokey Pokey...though she still needs to work on defining her movements. She took the skirt in for show and tell this week. I'm sure the teachers loved it!

Birthday Cupcakes ~ Year Four

We did our annual birthday cupcake celebration with cupcakes from A Cookie and a Cupcake a little late this year. This time 'round,  Ryan, Angie and Brooke joined us. Too bad they don't make a doggie cupcake! Kiera's eyes lit up when she opened the cupcake box and saw one with a big mound of cookie frosting and rainbow sprinkles! Kiera is lover of all sweets! She sampled her frosting quite a few times before dinner was over. I'm surprised her cupcake had any frosting left! She ate an Oreo cupcake; Ryan got his have, a red velvet; Angie and I split a, you guessed it, salted caramel; Dave ate the frosting off of a strawberry one (he doesn't love cake).  Kiera is one spoiled girl!
