Let it Snow!

Earlier in December, we had a decent snow (and even a snow/cold day!) so
we played out in the snow for a little bit.

Girls on the Run 5K

Kiera signed up for Girls on the Run. Their mission is to "Inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experienced base curriculum with creatively integrates running." Every Monday and Wednesday from mid-September to mid-November the girls had practice after school to train for the 5K "race." Each girl needed a running partner and Papa was Kiera's partner.
The day of the race was chilly and windy, yet sunny. Kiera and Papa did a great job!

Block Party 2016

Our block party had a Halloween theme this year. It was a beautiful
day to hang out with the neighbors outside; it was 70 degrees!

Happy Halloween

Wait, I thought it was Halloween, not Christmas!
Our girl was an "Elf on the Shelf" this year for Halloween.
She and a friend from school decided to be "twin elves."
That fake elf hair is hilarious, isn't it?

Trick or Treating with friends
Here's a pic of the twin elves from the Halloween Parade
at school. The kids went to a local nursing home to spread
some Halloween cheer. Then they came back to the class
for a fun afternoon of pumpkin decorating. Love that the
kids not only had fun for themselves, but also participated in
a day of "giving" to others.

Pumpkin Carving

Our pumpkin turned into a jack o'lantern! Kiera's design was "dead pumpkin."
She scooped out all the pumpkin guts on her own this year.

Can you read what the skeleton's bones say?

Bonfire

We had a bonfire at the farm this weekend.
Not only did we burn up the junk wood from the
barn renovations, we enjoyed the beautiful evening!

Kiera was extra excited to have her friend sleepover after
