Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving 2015! It was an extra special Thanksgiving...
Nick turned 21 and Dave and I celebrated 10 years of marriage!

Can you tell Kiera was thoroughly enjoying herself? She changed
into play clothes and she's super sweaty!

Em and I took years ago! One day I'll post
a side by side comparison.
Who needs pumpkin pie when you can just have
a shot of whipped cream?

Animals Galore!

Kiera's been in Heaven lately...Ryan got a new kitty...Hazel was in town for Thanksgiving...and of course, Brooke is Kiera's side kick! Ryan told Kiera she could name the kitty, but she couldn't come up with anything (she liked the name Monkey because he was always climbing on things). Finally, Emily thought of the name "Rory" after the Psychologist Hermann Rorschach who developed the Rorschach Inkblot test, referencing the inkblot like markings on kitty's nose.

 Meet Rory!

The day after Thanksgiving, we go to Mimi and Papa's house
and the whole fam helps decorate their house for Christmas.

Before the toys got put away to make room for
the Christmas decor, Hazel places her order...
"Double order of bacon, please!"
Back at home, Kiera and Brooke like to snuggle on Kiera's
rug in front of the heat vent.

Clam Bake

We had our second annual "Friday Grandpa Day Clam Bake" on the day before Halloween. To dress up the table, I borrowed some beakers from the science class at school. Kiera still doesn't like clams, but she loves melted butter!

Go Cats!

We weren't able to get tickets to this year's Holy War between St. Ignatius and St. Eds, so we did (what we thought at the time) was the next best thing...have a watch party at home with our favorite Wildcat fans! We all donned our Cats gear, loaded up on appetizers and settled down in front of the big screen and switched the computer broadcast on. We then found out the game, which is usually broadcast on the St. Ignatius webpage was audio only because of contractual agreements with Time Warner Cable. That wasn't the only bad news of the day, the Wildcats lost.

Our linebacker and our cheerleader!
The cheerleading uniform is a size 4T, we got
it when Ty was in high school so Kiera could
wear it to the games. We're saving it for our
future Wildcat grandchildren, but Kiera managed
to squeeze into it to cheer on the Cats!
Since it was Halloween day, Kiera needed to carve
her pumpkin. This year Papa helped.
