The Ducks "Winter Home"

Grandpa and Dave built the ducks their "winter home" in the barn this weekend. We used
scrap wood, netting, a tarp and lots of straw. We tried to catch the ducks to put them in, but only
got Daisy. We tried and tried and tried, but gave up...only to come back the following weekend
and round them all up with food (why didn't we do that in the first place?) Kiera invited her friend, R
to the farm for the weekend.

Happy Halloween 2019

A school friend (a boy!) invited the whole 6th grade class to a Halloween party at his house. We carpooled and before the party the girls had a Spooky Halloween treat.

The girls dressed up as Hydroflasks (the super popular water bottles)
Turtle Power! The 6th grade team dressed up as
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Striking our best ninja turtle poses!
Kiera and G came up with their own original Halloween costume
idea...Scary Dolls! They found dresses at the thrift store and soiled them
in the back yard with dirt and fake blood.
They also perfected their "fake wounds" thanks to YouTube videos.
The Scary Dolls!
A smile makes her look a little less scary!

All the candy!

Welcome Lucy!

Welcome to the family, sweet Lucy! We are so thrilled you are here. Though your gender was a surprise, your Auntie Bec knew you were a girl. When we got the call that you were ready to make your debut, we left right after school and drove straight to the hospital. We were instantly in love, Lu is perfect!  We got to spend five wonderful days in Chicago loving on Lucy. Our time together was short but you better believe we're going to visit her every chance we get! Can't wait to see her grow and be a part of our sweet little niece's/cousin's life.
