Merry Christmas to All!

Mimi and Papa took Kiera to see Santa. She wouldn't sit on his lap and wouldn't talk to him. When we ask her about it, she says she will tell Santa later. Tonight (Christmas Eve) we had Mimi, Papa and Emmy over for fondue. We asked Kiera all day long, "Do you know who comes tonight?" And she said, "Mimi and Papa!" She's not super into Christmas and Baby Jesus yet, but I know she'll love her presents!

Girl's Night Out

Kristan, Heather and I met up at the 87 Wine Bar in Crocker Park last night for our annual SS Celebration (SS=Summer Sisters since we're all born in the summer). We had a glam time, as usual. And in case your wondering, I did have a glass of wine.

Grandpa's Table

Great Gram Jean bought this table when my dad and Aunt Dorothy were little. It's about 55 years old, according to gram. It is in amazing shape! It is metal with a Formica top and red vinyl chairs (which gram covered in contact paper). We are going to take the contact paper off and restore the chairs to their red glory. The table and chair legs could use some sprucing up too. Dad played with it, I played with it, then it was used for years as a step stool and catch all table in the "back bedroom" (as gram calls it.) Now, Kiera is the proud owner of the Dragan Family kid's table and she is lovin' it!

Christmas Lights

Here is Kiera's account of our evening:
We drink it (hot chocolate). Look at lights. (The lights are on) my side! my side! Go home.

Four Blondes Bake Shoppe

"The Four Blondes Baking Shop" alternatively named "The Three Generations Bakery" was open for business yesterday. Two of our blondes wouldn't be photographed because they didn't have any make up on so it's just me and Kiera. We didn't make that many cookies, just our faves...snowballs, caramel corn, honey butter and oatmeal raisin (at Dave's request). Yum!

Christmas Party Number Three

Mimi, Papa, Kiera and I traveled to Kalida for the Bockrath Family Christmas party last weekend. We had a great time...I think it was the most fun Bockrath party yet! Kiera had the most fun with her two cousins. They played great all night long. We left the party at 11:30 and Kiera slept rock hard all night long. She never even changed position in bed. We stayed in the most adorable bed and breakfast, Rose Haven, and had a delicious breakfast of pumpkin pancakes with honey pecan syrup. Wish I had some right now, yum! I only snapped two pics at the party and little Miss Kiera wasn't cooperating, guess I should have taken the pictures when we first go there, not so late in the night.

It's always fun trying to snap a good Christmas Card pic!
Here are a few blooper outtakes.
