Visit to The Children's Museum of the Upstate

We visited the Children's Museum in South Carolina. Kiera's favorite activity was climbing the tower and Conlan's favorite activities were the water table and climbing a step in the toddler area.

She made it to the top of the tower!
Conlan and Grandpa cheated and used the catwalk to get to the top of the tower!

Goat Farm

We took our annual trip to Split Creek Goat Farm and it did not disappoint. Kiera LOVES all of the animals....She made a new friend this year, Frank, the three legged kitty....She is almost certain that she found "her" goat, Nibbles from last summer who moved from the kid area to the big goat area....Baby chicks ate right from her hand...The pig was out and posed for pictures. I found a new favorite spot, a swing where I could watch Kiera happily wander from animal to animal.

Play Time with our Favorite Little Guy

We had a fun week in South Carolina visiting Gavin, Erin and our little man, Master Conlan.  Here we are playing, digging, sliding, and smiling in Conlan's new play area. Gavin converted an old garden area into a new play area; it's awesome!

Conlan's favorite activities include digging in the rubber mulch and opening/closing and playing Peak-a-Boo with the play house window shutters.

Ready, Aim, Fire!

Grandpa finally made it to the farm! It was extra exciting because he brought his guns. Kiera had a gun safety lesson and then the shooting began...a pellet gun and a 22. She preferred the pellet gun because it was quieter and easier for her to hold. With Grandpa's help, she hit the target a few times. We all shot a few rounds, but Dave was the best marksman and Grandpa a close second. I think Kiera was a better shot than me! I came across a great quote on Pinterest..."What we learn becomes a part of who we are." So thankful that we were able to become farm land owners so Kiera (and all of us!) can appreciate and enjoy nature together as a family.
