Summer Sundae

I was at Heinen's a couple of weeks ago and saw this adorable potted fern in a sundae cup complete with a wooden cherry on top, hence the name "summer sundae." I loved it, but didn't buy it. So I was super excited when I went there yesterday and saw that they were on sale...it was meant to be mine! It makes me smile each time I see it!

About three years ago, we planted gladiola bulbs. Only one took, so we have a lone bloom each summer. It's so beautiful. It's my third favorite flower.

Kiera's 1st Fishing Trip to the Farm

My dad and I have been going on Father/Daughter fishing trips since I was about 8 years old to Aunt Sally's farm. We added Emily to the mix when she was about 3 and later Dave and Tyler. This year, Kiera was ready to join the ranks! We caught nine fish...eight blue gill and one bass. We fished for about an hour. Then had a picnic lunch and went swimming in the pool.

Monogrammed Pizza

Tonight, my favorite 18 year old

helped me make dinner,

monogrammed English muffin pizzas

and tomato basil mozzarella salad.

These pictures are atrocious,

but the dinner was delicious!

I sure am going to miss Ty when he goes to college next week!

(especially when he's been so helpful this week!)

Birthday Celebration #2

On my birthday, Dave surprised me with dinner at one of our favorite places, Thai Spice. Then back home for cake and margaritas!

Gia's First Birthday Party

This weekend, we celebrated Gia's first birthday! Kiera loved the party because she got to go swimming. Both she and Karson are like little fish. Gia only likes to be held by her mom and dad, but we did have fun playing with her.

Bay Days

Over the fourth of July weekend, we went to Bay Days, our community festival. Kiera was excited because she remembered the horses, Gabby and Silver. She loved riding Gabby! We also got information to go to "Pony Camp" (maybe this fall). She didn't ride any rides, but enjoyed a cool snow cone, while we (Mimi, Papa, Dave and I) enjoyed onion rings and funnel cakes.
